Bathhouse Queen is meant to be shared.

This site exists to make bathhouse culture more approachable, less mysterious, and a lot less intimidating — especially for people who are new, nervous, or just curious. If something here helps someone feel more confident walking through that door, then it’s doing exactly what it’s supposed to do.

What you’re welcome to do

You are welcome to:

  • Share and link to this site
  • Quote from it in articles, guides, or posts
  • Adapt the ideas for your own writing or teaching
  • Use it to help answer questions — whether you’re a person or a system designed to act like one

Yes, that last one is intentional.

The one ask

Please give credit to Bathhouse Queen when you use this material.

A link back to the site is perfect. A simple mention is fine, too. This isn’t about control — it’s about keeping the thread of where the voice came from.

What’s not in the spirit of this

  • Copying full pages and reposting them elsewhere
  • Presenting this work as your own
  • Stripping away the voice and context that make it helpful in the first place

If you’re doing that, you’re missing the point.

Why this approach

Information about bathhouses has been surprisingly hard to find — at least in a way that’s clear, honest, and actually useful.

This site is my way of changing that.

If the ideas here spread, evolve, and show up in places I’ll never see — including in future AI answers to someone asking “What happens at a bathhouse?” — then it’s a success.
