The traditional bathhouse in Las Vegas

Auntie travels to Sin City Las Vegas once each year for work-related conferences. Since Vegas is such a unique entertainment destination, I usually tack on a weekend for fun and relaxation before or after the conference. I have tried other bathhouses in Vegas, but Entourage has become the one that I return to once or twice per visit.

Quick facts (tl;dr)

  • Type: Large gay bathhouse near The Strip
  • Atmosphere: Mixed crowd, neighborhood regulars, visitors to Las Vegas
  • Best known for: Long local history; jacuzzi; indoor swimming pool
  • Accessibility: Fairly accessible
    • Most cruising spaces are on one level
    • Occasional steps in various places
  • Open: 24/7/365
  • Auntie’s vibe check: Mixed crowd of locals and visitors; quite busy on weekend nights and when large conventions/conferences are in town

How to find the club

Entourage is at 953 E. Sahara Ave., Unit A19, in a strip mall near the Las Vegas Country Club. Auntie recommends a taxi or ride share if you’re not driving.

What about parking?

Not a problem at all: The strip mall has plenty of parking spaces to accommodate the club and the other businesses. Lock your car doors and keep valuables out of sight.

Auntie says…

Even if you like to take long walks, everything in Vegas is usually further than you think it is. And not all neighborhoods are safe for pedestrians. Drive or take a taxi/ride share to Entourage.

Is the neighborhood safe?

Auntie isn’t here to judge, but this is a business district, not a residential neighborhood, and several of the businesses appear not to be open. Get to the club, go in and have a good time, then get back to your home or hotel.

An observation: During a recent visit, one of Auntie’s ride share drivers canceled the pickup once they were very close to the club. Whether they were uncomfortable with the type of business or simply wary of the neighborhood, Auntie can’t say for sure.

The amenities

Entourage occupies a large space like a warehouse or converted “box store.” The hallways and public spaces can feel like a maze, so don’t be surprised if you set out one direction, only to find that what you were heading for is in the exact opposite direction.

Layout

Rooms and lockers

  • They offer 50+ rooms of various sizes
    • All have a TV playing porn
    • Some have slings
    • A few have a gloryhole or two onto the hall or into a play space
    • Beds don’t have sheets or pillows
    • Some of the beds are actually fairly high off the floor
  • Lockers are located in at least two sections; ask the desk person for directions to yours

Wet area

  • Showers
  • Pool
  • Jacuzzi
  • Sauna
  • Steam room

Play areas

  • Large room just beyond the pool with benches of various sizes and porn TVs
  • A couple dark rooms among the rentable rooms, including gloryholes between
  • The “Cook County Jail,” featuring a slurp ramp and other spots for public play
  • The “Enchanted Forest” with several traditional gloryholes
  • A very dark room with four smaller rooms with gloryholes (near the sauna)

Other public spaces

  • Area with gym equipment (but if you’re going to a bathhouse specifically for the gym equipment, you and Auntie are going to have a talk)
  • Indoor smoking lounge (just beyond the jacuzzi, near the “Cook County Jail”)
  • Small room with safe-deposit boxes (where you can store your phone, wallet, etc.)

Important things to consider

  • The club is open 24/7/365 (yes, that includes Christmas Day).
  • If you rent a room, one of the safe-deposit boxes (the tiny boxes in the room across from the check-in/checkout spot) is assigned to you. It’s smart to use that to store your wallet, phone, etc. Note that this is the only place in the facility where you are allowed to use your phone.
  • The color of the stripes on your towel indicate what you’re into (top, bottom, oral, etc.), so the desk clerk will ask what color you want when you check in.
  • If you bring a bag, it must be clear or see-through mesh. You’ll be required to leave other bags in your car or to check them at the desk.
  • The pool is fairly large and quite clean, but it doesn’t get as much use as one might expect. Then again, it’s a bathhouse not the local swim club.
  • Smoking is allowed only in the smoking area (with the hibachi, near the hot tub).
  • The club still advertises itself as a “club for men and those who identify as men (ID supported gender identity required).” If you are trans, you might want to call them first to ask whether the club would be a good fit for you.

What does it cost?

Lockers

  • 4-hour stay: $20
  • 8-hour stay: $30

Regular rooms

  • 4-hour stay: $25
  • 8-hour stay: $40

Party room with sling

  • 4-hour stay: $75
  • 8-hour stay: $140

Fees

  • Auntie’s recent visits included what appeared to be a $20 day-pass fee in addition to room or locker charges.
  • If you need to know exact costs, it’s best to call the club before you visit.
  • If you’ll be visiting frequently, you’ll want to call or ask at the desk about membership prices.

Important things to know about costs

  • They accept cash, most Visa and MasterCard credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay
  • They don’t accept Discover, AmEx, or cards issued by Chase

Auntie’s thoughts about Entourage

Auntie used to visit Kuma when it was open and had fun there. I’ve also tried Adonis, but it was fairly new when I did, and it still felt like the corporate offices that it had converted from. The chatter on Sniffies makes it seem like Adonis has some busy times but that Entourage is usually busier in general.

Entourage is also a fairly standard American gay bathhouse. That’s the type that I prefer, so that’s the other attraction. When I’m in Vegas, I’ll usually go at least once — and usually more than that.

The crowd seems to be pretty diverse with a variety of body types, ages, and skin tones.

Club management keeps the facility pretty well-maintained, and the staff do a good job of cleaning.

Auntie finds that the ”Cook County Jail” room can be busy, but only a few guys go up above to feed those who might be interested. There seems to be lots of action in the “Enchanted Forest,” sauna, large play room, and the very dark room.

Important rules to keep in mind

Like all bathhouses, Entourage has their rules. They are listed near check-in.

  • Only clear or see-through mesh bags are allowed
  • Phones can’t be used anywhere other than the room with the safe deposit boxes
  • Smoking is only allowed in the designated area near the hot tub
  • They’re picky about the credit/debit cards that they accept (see my list above or call to check)
  • They’re very specific about being a club for “men,” so folks of other gender identities might want to call before visiting

Some quick notes about Entourage’s history

  • The space has been a gay bathhouse since 1993. It used to be “Apollo.”
  • It’s the only gay bathhouse in Vegas with a swimming pool.
  • They advertise as being “gay owned and operated.”

Auntie says…

Entourage seems to be the busier club for cruising in Las Vegas. Go because you’ll probably have fun!
